According to the collected and analyzed climate data for June 2024, there were low to moderately favorable climate conditions for the breeding and transmission of malaria over the country's western half. Regions such as the Eastern half of Gambela, south and South-west Ethiopia, central Ethiopia, western parts of Oromia, the western parts of Amhara, and Benishangul Gumuz regions of the country were very conducive for malaria transmission and breeding.
